These 1 inch easy peel allergen food labels are used to highlight that food contains crustaceans (also known as shellfish). As of December 13th, 2014, it has become a part of food legislation that if any of the fourteen food allergens present on the regulatory list are an ingredient in an item of food, they must be highlighted separately to the main ingredients list, making them easy to find. Crustaceans include crabs, lobster, prawns, and scampi and can often be found in Thai food and fish paste.
